Frequently asked questions

How does ApexDigital escrow work?

The buyer funds the deal before handover. Eligible funds remain held while the seller transfers the agreed digital asset or service. The buyer inspects the delivery, then confirms receipt or opens a dispute within the active protection window.

When is the seller paid?

Seller payout is released after the buyer accepts the delivery, the inspection period ends without a valid dispute where applicable, or a human dispute decision directs release. The deal room shows the current stage and status.

How long does a buyer have to inspect a purchase?

The standard inspection window is 24 hours after documented delivery. A longer protection period may apply when the buyer selected an extended tier at checkout. The deadline shown in the deal room controls the transaction.

How do I open an escrow dispute?

Open the relevant deal room before the inspection deadline, choose the dispute action and explain the material problem. Keep all messages and evidence inside the deal room so the review team can verify the sequence of events.

What evidence is required for a dispute?

A continuous screen recording is required to show the relevant login, ownership, access or delivery issue. Include deal-room messages and supporting screenshots where available. Cropped, disconnected or unverifiable evidence may receive less weight.

How long does dispute resolution take?

Once sufficient evidence is available, the human arbitration desk normally issues a binding platform decision within 24–48 hours. More information may be requested from either party before a decision.

What decisions can be made after a dispute?

Depending on the verified evidence and deal terms, the decision may release funds to the seller, refund the buyer, or allocate funds proportionally. The decision is final for platform processing, without limiting rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Are escrow fees refundable?

Escrow fees are generally non-refundable once verification or handover work begins. A refund may be made where required by law or expressly directed during dispute resolution. Any applicable terms are shown before payment.

Can a seller reclaim an account after payout?

No. Sellers must not reclaim, recover or interfere with an asset after a completed handover. Buyers should secure transferred credentials immediately and preserve evidence. Suspected reclamation should be reported through the deal room.

Can buyers and sellers communicate outside the deal room?

Important instructions, confirmations and evidence should remain in the deal room. Off-platform communication can make a dispute harder to verify and attempts to bypass escrow may lead to account restrictions.
